The Circular Economy

Creating a circular economy means that all resources are reused or upcycled into more valuable goods; nothing is wasted. Affordable Abodes has built its business around such a model, with the aim of reducing the carbon footprint of production and transportation, whilst also creating more local jobs and adding value to the local economy.

View our presentation on the Circular Economy, presented at the Transformational Business Network Asia (TBN Asia) 2020 Conference.

What we’ve done now, is go from carbon-producing, to carbon-absorbing.

We will need to source for products locally, or perhaps even produce them ourselves.

Our Impact.

Environmental

Our Kenaf is sustainably and organically farmed in a way that reduces our carbon footprint and saves on natural resources such as sand and timber.

Kenafcrete is manufactured using upcycled industrial and agricultural waste, resulting in a more sustainable, zero-waste product.

Social

Kenaf farming provides job opportunities for local and less-skilled labourers, as well as additional and alternative revenue for farmers. Labourers recieve a stable income due to kenaf’s steady harvest cycle and manufacturer demand.

Our housing is low-cost and affordable for low-income communities.
